Comexim and the Traveling Collection

Positive impact through empty-packaging collection.

In partnership with institutes and other organizations, Comexim promotes the Traveling Collection Program for empty pesticide packaging as part of Clean Field Week. The goal is to guarantee proper disposal and generate apositive environmental impact.

Results

- More than 40,000 packages collected and correctly sent for incineration.
- Over 365 rural producers took part in events held in Ouro Fino, Espirito Santo do Pinhal, Bueno Brandao, and Inconfidentes.
- In 2023, the Inconfidentes event became the subject of a case study in partnership with IFSULDEMINAS
- Inconfidentes Campus.

Environmental impact

- 3,379.6 kg of CO2 emissions avoided - roughly the annual capture of about 800 trees.
- 1,058.8 kg of oil and 17,424 liters of water saved.

These results help prevent environmental contamination, protect human and animal health, and conserve natural resources.
